Embassy destroyed
Many found dead and the search for U.S. Troops
continues.

GRAW Map - M01 Operation No Fear OGR Coming soon
An attack on the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City has left
many dead and some still missing.
Rebel forces have taken over the building and surrounding area with
demands to release their captives being detained for questioning on
previous attacks.

U.S.
Forces have been called in to secure and search for missing soldiers.
Industrial Chaos
U.S. Troops continue to barricade Mexican’s Industrial
Docks

GRAW Map - M02 Operation Gunstock OGR coming soon
U.S.
troops were given word to investigate what intelligence called “A
Mass-Production of High Powered Weapons and Explosives”.
Further information was that this activity was taking
place at Mexico City’s Industrial Docks and that these explosives were used
in the Embassy Bombings. This
raised huge concerns for the City Council and local businesses as U.S.
forces setup roadblocks along the Tunnel and eastern dock entrances.

“The impact has halted all importing
and exporting from the docks for weeks”, said spokesperson, Daniel
Cobb. “If weapons are being
produced there we hope the U.S. Armed Forces can remedy the situation as
soon as possible.”

GRAW 2 – mapping now!
Laying the foundation for GRAW 2 Maps now. Looking for mappers to pull together.
With GRAW 2 laying in the distance mappers coming out
of the woodwork the efforts here are to get a group of dedicated
professional map makers to discuss projects to make maps in packs of 3 to
be released monthly. Map Makers are
needed. This is not recruiting or
anything like that. Just trying to
hook up with folks and work on projects to make our work less, but overall
results great!

Custom Coop OGR Played
out with simple guidelines
Under Construction.
The following maps for GRAW are under development and
will be part of a series just to break the ice for custom OGR Coops. Due date estimated for early March,
2007.
M01 Operation No Fear
M02 Operation Gunstock
M03 Operation Heavy Metal
Based on player feedback and 1st hand
experience it appears that some issues with Multiplayer Coop has been with
the AI accuracy, servers set to unlimited respawns, time limits not set in
respect to the map(s) hosted, and overall teamwork to achieve the
objective.
By developing custom coop maps with a purpose (series,
theme), recommendations can be configured for servers who choose to host
the campaign. Settings such as # of
respawns and time limit for example are key to hosting a decent run of coop
maps. With this simple campaign in
mind it is hopeful that when GRAW 2 arrives custom map makers can work
together to focus on a variety of map styles for nice alternative
campaigns.
Gaming Stats?
What and why.
Gaming stats have typically been something favored for
many players to see how well they perform day-to-day, month-to-month. Stats were also a tool used by server
hosts to see how active their servers have been and determinations on
funding would be part of the process.
Unfortunately for GRAW it appears server stats have
once again been abused by spawn campers and cheaters/hackers. Wall hacks came out of the closet and
some players used them in abusive ways.
Kill to death ratios of 10-1 are not uncommon to the spawn raper so
the ideas is to deal with it for it is here to stay.
Recommendations are for servers to use their stats to
target these individuals and provide warnings when appropriate. Spotting wall hackers is easy as you are
shot immediately after moving to an open area or are naded with a blind
nade on multiple occasions by the same people. Never accuse someone of cheating without proof. No issues coming right out and
confronting them, but accusations don’t get you too far other than on the
bad side of people.
